My community

Playa del Carmen is a small city, located in eastern Mexico. Its economy depends on the tourism, so people, generally foreign people,  are always on the street or in the beach.

I have chosen these three pictures because they show the most representative places in Playa:
1.- The Beach.
2.- Playa del Carmen's pier
3.- The 5th avenue.

Those places are the economic engine of the city.

Now, Playa is a very beautiful, extraordinary city just as long as you remain in the beach side or in the 5th avenue. If we take a look to other parts, we'll find a completely normal city, filled with a normal lifestyle.

Idiom, Rome was not built in a day

As you know, Rome was a powerful and vast empire. It was built in a very long period of time. But that's not waht this idiom literally means. It means that it it takes a lot of time to do an important project or job, so patience is required.

Example:
- I'm so tired
- Oh, why is that for?
- I've been making an important project, and I still don't finish
- Well, Rome wasn't built in a day, was it?

Recomendation from my community

If you're tired of going to Starbucks every time you want to have a cup of chocolate or coffee, well, there's a cheaper and more natural option in Playa del Carmen, called "Ah Cacao". There are many of them located on the 5th avenue.
Ah Cacao offers a vast variety of products elaborated with chocolate and coffee. I personally recommend the chocolate covered coffee. You can have a tranquil dinner in the air conditioner area or in the out side area if you preffer it. In this restaurant, you'll have an intimate, delicious and non commercial experience about chocolate and coffee.
